Storyjam is a voting tool that was built by employees at FordLabs to allow people to easily share their ideas, feelings and feedback without being influenced by other’s opinions.

The team interviewed 4 FordLabs employees with a variety of experience with StoryJam. Users ranged from those involved in the creation or testing of the platform to those who used the platform.

Goal
Main Takeaways
Users enjoyed that the playful site UI strayed away from Ford's brand identity.
Many individuals emphasized the benefits of individuality when voting.
Users favored the ability to have spectators in voting sessions.
Heuristic Analysis
Team members analyzed StoryJam using Jakob’s Ten Usability Heuristics and identified emerging UI and UX patterns for consideration.

Identify specific areas for improvement within the current site and understand ways to enhance the connection between the usability of StoryJam and its user interface.

There is an opportunity to create a more streamlined and aesthetically pleasing UI.

With a list of additional features for StoryJam, each team member spent 90 seconds sketching ideas for the 8 features.
